Default Jen Arnold, Star of TLCís The Little Couple, Reveals She Has Cancer

I hate to hear this news. Many prayers for Jen and her recovery. She's overcome so much and made such a huge success of her life and her family. I know she can overcome this.

http://www.people.com/people/article...763158,00.html

Jen Arnold, star of the hit TLC series The Little Couple, is battling a rare form of cancer.

The Houston-based neonatologist, 39, and her husband Bill Klein, 38, are parents to son Will, 3, whom they adopted from China, and daughter Zoey, 2, whom they recently brought home from India.

But what should have been a time of joy and celebration for the reality stars has been bittersweet, as Arnold reveals in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

"I have recently been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer and am currently undergoing treatment, including surgery and chemotherapy.Ē Arnold says.

I was just searching to see if there was a link for this show. This is so heartbreaking. I hope the prognosis is as good as she says it is. It just isn't fair that she cannot enjoy her long awaited children and has to go through surgery and chemo.

I have a friend who visited their pet store in Houston and met both Bill and Jen. She said they are very down to earth and nice people.

This news hit me like a ton of bricks. I have watched Jen and Bill's show since it first aired. They have shared much about their upbringing. She has undergone dozens of surgeries just to stay alive and mobile since childhood.

Jen was raised in a regular sized family and always worked to do anything she wanted to do. She made it through medical school and works in a large teaching hospital. She teaches and has received awards for her leadership in the field of training medical personnel and firemen in emergency life saving skills. She seems to be loved by all who know her and never seems to feel sorry for herself. All she wants to do is to help others and make a family.

After she finally gets her two children home, she gets this diagnosis. It's just heartbreaking. Where is there any sense in this world of what is fair? I guess there is no fairness. Why can't bad things just happen to bad people and not a little angel like Jenn?

I pray for Jenn and her family. She sounded positive, so I do hope she will have a full recovery. God bless you Jenn.

Will is the most charming little boy, and I was looking forward to "meeting" Zoey. And now this. So unfair to happen to such a wonderful person and family.

Get well soon, Jen!

Jen Arnold Will Share Cancer Battle with The Little Couple Viewers

http://www.people.com/people/article...763592,00.html

"We allowed our lives to be filmed because we wanted people to understand more about our condition and others who are like us," Klein told PEOPLE earlier this year.

Arnold and Klein both have types of dwarfism, as do their children.

"A little girl came up to me in a store and said, 'You are a little person,' very matter-of-factly and I said, 'Yes, I am, thank you very much,' " Arnold told PEOPLE earlier this year. "We have an opportunity to raise awareness and that's wonderful."

I could just sit down and bawl about now. This is so sad.
I know those of us who have admired and loved this couple will keep the prayers and healing energy coming her way.

Jen Arnold Opens Up About Her Brave Cancer Fight - TLC, Cancer, Health, Bill Klein, Jennifer Arnold : People.com

I haven't seen the shows from the beginning, and assumed they used surrogates because pregnancy would be very dangerous in a woman her size. That wasn't the case, but she did get pregnant in September and lost the baby almost immediately. Choriocarcinoma arises from placental tissue, and also has a 90%-plus cure rate.

They are such a dear couple. I love this show. And they are not showing Zoe this early because she is shy with people. I look forward to the spring though and hope little Zoe will, by then, be comfortable in her new home.
