Paul Flores is in Southern CA, authorities have kept track of him right along.
I bet he is sweating bullets.

I AM pretty sure it's remains and likely bones after reading this quote (sorry for the caps: it cut and pasted that way, I'm not shouting):

I CAN’T REALLY ELABORATE ON WHAT THE ITEMS WERE. I CAN TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE BEING ANALYZED BY FORENSIC ANTHROPOLOGISTS TO DETERMINE IF THEY ARE RELATED TO EITHER HUMANS OR ANIMALS.
Tony Cipolla, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office spokesman

They wouldn't have a forensic anthropologist analyzing, say, a random sock. That is a pretty specific skill set.

If she is found at a landmark like the big P, that is really telling about not just lack of guilt, but almost 'trophy' behavior, you know what I mean? A guilty-feeling killer would never place their victim where they can look up and think of them all the time. That would be very creepy and make me wonder if anyone else is no longer with us.

imo, they already know if they have human or faunal remains. If they do have human, they are keeping that quiet hoping for more missteps by the killer.

Has this been posted? It is a long read, but worth every minute. Arpad Vass has even worked on the Flores backyard issue!

Is Kristin Smart Buried in This Backyard? Neighbors and a Wonder Dog Say Yes
The last person to see her alive was Paul Flores, who dug a trench and filled it with concrete days after she vanished in 1996. Why won’t cops search it?

Gary Hoffman on the Gary and Shannon show on KFI went through this whole story and it sounds awfully likely that this is true...OMG.
