State of MA v Aaron Hernandez Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez goes on trial Friday for the June 2013 murder of a semi-pro football player, a case that exposed the rich young star's drift into violence and stoked a widening debate about off-the-field behavior of NFL athletes.

Not being convicted for this case means a better chance he could possibly get out. Not saying that's gonna happen. If he had been convicted of both there would've been absolutely no chance. Smh I believe he did both and likely more.

Yep...his family should be so proud.

I can picture him walking into his house, kissing his wife, bouncing his daughter on his knee....telling them both, with that big shit eating Baez grin..."daddy won another one today..he got another murderer off while accusing someone else of an awful, despicable crime"

He deserves to rot in hell alongside the people he 'represents'.

(I am in no way implying people accused of crimes dont deserve a good defense. I am implying that low life scum like Baez who get their clients off by accusing others and lying are pieces of crap)

The jury instructions were long & incomprehensible. There's no way ordinary people can understand that shit. Lawyers get paid hundreds of dollars an hour to decipher legal speak.

Statement from Comish Evans

http://bpdnews.com/news/2017/4/14/st...hernandez-case

STATEMENT FROM COMMISSIONER WILLIAM EVANS RELATIVE TO TODAY'S VERDICT: "The verdict reached today in the Aaron Hernandez double murder trial was very disappointing. The entire Boston Police Department expresses our sincerest condolences to the families of the two victims, Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, whose lives were lost in a senseless act of violence. We are committed to seeing that justice prevails in every case that we present to the Court for prosecution. I commend the work of my investigators and the prosecutors assigned to the District Attorney’s office who put forth an enormously diligent and determined effort in this case. I have the utmost respect for the Jury and thank them for their service but simply disagree with the verdict reached. The evidence in this case all points to Aaron Hernandez as the sole person responsible for the tragic and untimely deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.

The Casey Anthony jury must have moved to Massachusetts.

Baez is strutting himself on facebook.

Aaron's tears are a little late in coming, never saw them at his first trial.

I hope we have seen the last of this monster in public view. Hope he inks himself to death.

As Nancy Grace would say, "The Devil is dancing in Boston tonight." Just hope his life term for Odin LLoyd stays a life term. At least Boston is a bit safer with Mr. Hernandez in prison-especially in nightclubs!

McGovern: Tackling Odin Lloyd case may be next for Jose Baez

Jose Baez, fresh off his biggest verdict since springing Casey Anthony of murder, has his eye on the only verdict that’s keeping former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez behind bars for the rest of his life.

“I can just tell you that I think there was doubt in that case,” Baez told me last night, referring to Hernandez’s guilty verdict in the 2013 slaying of Odin L. Lloyd. “When I looked at it from afar, I thought that was a winnable case.”

Hernandez is already being represented in his automatic appeal by attorneys at the Thompson & Thompson law firm, lawyers who were appointed to the former superstar by the state. Baez, however, told me that he is considering teaming up — or maybe even taking over the case.
“I am going to go back and meet with Aaron, and we’re going to discuss it and see if we can work with his current lawyers,” he said. “I think they’re doing a good job, but if they want to bring us in to assist or take it over, we will do whatever Aaron wants.”
